COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -The Blue Jackets activated Raffi Torres off injured reserve, clearing the way for left wing to play his first game for Columbus on Saturday night against the Blackhawks.
The 27-year-old was acquired from the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for Gilbert Brule on July 1, but injured a shoulder during a preseason game against Chicago on Sept. 29.
Last season with the Oilers, Torres had five goals and six assists for 11 points in 32 games. The New York Islanders’ second pick and fifth overall in 2000, Torres has 67 goals and 59 assists in 307 games in his NHL career.
