PHILADELPHIA (AP) -The Philadelphia Flyers signed forward Jesse Boulerice and center Jim Dowd to one-year contracts Wednesday.
The 29-year-old Boulerice had one assist and a team-high 47 penalty minutes in six preseason games. In 16 games with Albany of the AHL last season, he had four goals and three assists.
Boulerice played three games with the Flyers in 2001-02 and has also played in the NHL for Carolina and St. Louis. In 165 regular-season games, he has eight goals, two assists and 304 penalty minutes.
The 38-year-old Dowd, who is entering his 16th NHL season, has played with nine teams. He had four goals and four assists in 66 regular-season games with New Jersey last season.
Dowd has 66 goals and 163 assists in his career.
Financial terms of the deals were not released.
