ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) – The Anaheim Ducks have signed left wing Matt Beleskey to a two-year contract extension through the 2012-13 season.
Beleskey had 11 goals and 7 assists in 60 games as a rookie last season for the Ducks, who announced the extension Friday.
He scored his first NHL goal on Jan. 5 in his 24th career game, but finished the season strong while playing on multiple lines in the absence of injured scorer Joffrey Lupul.
The former fourth-round pick made his NHL debut in January 2009. Beleskey will open training camp with the Ducks on Saturday.
