NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -The Nashville Predators added two free agents, a goaltender and a forward, and re-signed defenseman Nolan Yonkman on Thursday.
Gaoltender Dan Ellis, 27, went 30-21-1 with a 2.78 goals-against average in 55 games with the AHL’s Iowa Stars last season. He will get $500,000 in the NHL and $100,000 in the AHL.
Shane Willis, 30, is a 6-1, 195-pound forward who scored 43 points in 43 games with the Albany of the AHL.
He has 74 points in 174 career NHL games with Carolina and Tampa Bay. Willis will be paid $475,000 at the NHL level and $100,000 at the minor-league level.
Yonkman, 26, was signed to a one-year contract for $450,000 in the NHL and $100,000 in the AHL. With the Milwaukee Admirals last season, the 6-foot-6, 236-pounder posted three goals and 10 assists.
He has eight points in 50 career NHL games.
