2010 NHL Picks and Predictions Bruins Thrashers

ATLANTA, GA (TheSpread) – The Boston Bruins look to hold on to their lead in the NHL Northeast Division when they take on the Atlanta Thrashers on Thursday. Here is a breakdown of my pick for this contest.

Boston is 20-11-4 on the season and 11-5-1 on the road. The Bruins have scored 100 goals and allowed 74 and are winners in 6 of their last 10 games.

Atlanta is 19-14-6 on the season and 10-7-3 at home. The Thrashers have scored 123 goals but allowed 117. They have won just 4 of their last 10 games.

Oddsmakers from online sportsbook have given Atlanta betting odds of -107 for tonight’s game while Boston has been given odds of -101. The over/under for goals scored has been set at 5.5. Here is a look at the trends and my pick for tonight’s game.

Boston Bruins vs. Atlanta Thrashers, 7PM ET (View Matchup)

The Bruins have won 11 of their last 12 games against the Thrashers and 4 of their last 5 games in Atlanta. The under has hit in the last four games between these two teams as well. My pick is with Boston as I feel the Bruins defense will slow down the Atlanta offense while the Thrashers will give up some easy goals.
