Maple Leafs ease past Hurricanes
Toronto (21-9-1) ended a two-game losing skid Tuesday night with a 4-1 win at the Hurricanes. Ryan McDonagh scored in the second period to break a 2-2 tie and the Lightning scored three more goals in the third period to put it away. Steven Stamkos had a hat trick in the win as he now has 15 goals on the season. Anthony Cirelli scored the other two goals. J.T. Miller, Brayden Point and Victor Hedman all notched two assists. Prediction:
All winning streaks come to an end and it could happen against much worse foes than the Maple Leafs. Toronto is going to want to make a statement here and has the firepower to get it done. The total is set crazy high and I’d still consider the over before the under here. Do you really want to bet on these two teams NOT scoring goals? But I think Toronto will be amped up here and I’m betting on the visitors to get the win.
