Stars vs. Golden Knights Prediction

Stars vs. Golden Knights, 12/8/21 NHL Betting Predictions

The Dallas Stars are a red-hot 9-1-0-0 over their last 10 games but they’re an underdog on Wednesday night in Vegas where they’ll take on the Golden Knights at 10:00 p.m. ET. Will the Stars stay hot while also cashing as an underdog or is there a smarter bet on the board when it comes to this matchup?

Jamie Benn scored two goals and an assist during Monday's 4-1 win over the Arizona Coyotes. The 32-year-old had gone five straight games without collecting a single point. Benn actually did all of his damage in the third frame, as he scored two goals in the final five minutes and he registered a helper on Jacob Peterson's tally earlier in the frame. He finished the night with a plus-2 rating, four shots on goal and two hits in 19:32 of ice time. He now has seven goals and five assists in 22 games this season. Benn is still a big name, but his best days are clearly behind him.

Robin Lehner has informed Team Sweden that he won't participate in the Beijing Olympics. Lehner announced after Sunday's win over Calgary that he reached the difficult decision along with his psychiatrist and his family for the betterment of his mental health. "My well being have to come first and being locked down and not knowing what happens if you test positive is too much of a risk for me," the Vegas netminder posted on Twitter. Lehner is confident that Sweden will have a great team and he expects Jacob Markstrom to lead between the pipes.

Golden Knights vs. Blues Betting Prediction

The underdog is a perfect 4-0 in the last four meetings between these two teams, while the Stars have won seven straight overall and five straight against an opponent with a winning record. Dallas is also 10-3 in its last 13 games versus teams from the Pacific, is 5-2 in its last seven games as an underdog and is 4-0 in its last four games when its opponent allows two goals or less in its previous contest.
