New York managed to slow down Washington at home Wednesday night as it prevailed 4-1 to improve to 9-8-2 on the season. Panarin made it 2-0 with 16:03 remaining in the third period on another power play goal assisted by Kakko and Ryan Strome. Pavel Buchnevich pushed the lead to 3-0 23 seconds later with assists courtesy of Filip Chytil and Brendan Lemieux. After the Capitals cut it to 3-1, New York put it away with 6:26 remaining on a Brett Howden goal off assists from Buchnevich and Chris Kreider. Henrik Lundqvist stopped 30 of 31 shots in the win.

NHL Betting Trends
New York
The Rangers are 5-2 in their last seven games as an underdog. New York is 18-38 in its last 56 games following a win.
Ottawa
The Senators are 4-1 in their last five games overall. Ottawa is 4-1 in its last five games versus the Eastern Conference.
Prediction:
Neither team has a rest advantage, but I like the way the Rangers are entering this game as they must have some confidence after knocking off a Caps squad that was tied for the most points in the Eastern Conference coming in. Lundqvist is seemingly back in a groove following that start and look for another strong showing out of him here. I like the value on New York here in a game that feels almost like a coin toss.
