Kings snap three-game losing streak

Los Angeles secured a 2-1 shootout win at the Blackhawks Friday night as Anze Kopitar went five-hole for the victory after the overtime session ended without a goal. Ilya Kovalchuk also scored in the shootout. Tyler Toffoli gave the Kings (6-11-1) a 1-0 lead with an unassisted goal midway through the second period, while Chicago tied it up at the 17:21 mark of the third period. Cal Petersen recorded 34 saves on 35 shots in the winning effort.

Predators drop third straight

Nashville dropped a 2-1 decision at Arizona Thursday night to complete its five-game road trip with three straight losses after winning the first two games. The Predators (13-5-1) trailed 2-0 through two periods before Nick Bonino cut the deficit in half at the 7:51 mark of the third period. Austin Watson and Roman Josi assisted on the score. Pekka Rinne surrendered two goals on 23 shots in the defeat.

NHL Betting Trends

Los Angeles

The Kings are 1-9 in their last 10 Saturday games. Los Angeles is 2-9 in its last 11 games versus the Western Conference.

The Predators are 5-1 in their last six Saturday games. The under is 4-0 in the last four Nashville games playing on one day of rest.

This is a game between two teams heading in opposite directions. Nashville is good enough where this might be the only time all season it drops three games in a row. I'm going to say being back at home energizes the Predators and they win by multiple goals.
