Kane is under police investigation for an alleged rape incident in Hamburg, New York. The Hamburg Police Department is investigating the incident and is currently awaiting forensic results that may prove that a sexual assault incident took place.

Kane was supposed to be a co-cover athlete along with teammate Jonathan Toews on the popular NHL 16 game but EA Sports has decided to drop the 26-year-old from their promotion. Kane will also no longer serve as a spokesperson for the launch of the game.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, the Blackhawks remain 13/2 favorites to win the 2016 Stanley Cup.
