Steven Stamkos said Tampa Bay is focused on winning the series and not the possibility of doing it on home ice. “We’re focused on the start of next game,” Stamkos said on Sunday. “All those other things work themselves out. You never know what’s going to happen in the course of a game or a series.” Coach Jon Cooper was also asked if lifting the Stanley Cup back at home has crossed the minds of the players and his response was that the team was only interested in winning and not where they win. Stamkos hasn’t earned a point in the last two games after scoring in Game 1 of the Final. He has eight goals and 18 points in 21 matches this postseason.

Carey Price will get the start in goal for the Canadiens Monday in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final. Montreal coach Dominique Ducharme was asked Saturday if Jake Allen could start. “No. Carey’s the guy playing Monday,” Ducharme replied. “If you wonder or people wonder about who’s gonna be in net, Carey’s gonna be in net.” Price has been mediocre in the Final, losing all three games with a 4.38 GAA and a .835 save percentage.
