Tampa Bay Lightning DFS SPIN
Andrei Vasilevskiy saved 24 of 26 shots in a 4-2 win against the Islanders in Game 2 on Tuesday. One of the two goals Vasilevskiy allowed was scored during an Islanders’ power play. He improved to 9-4 with a 2.21 GAA and .933 save percentage in 13 postseason games this year. With this victory, the semifinals series has been evened at 1-1.
New York Islanders DFS Spin
Ilya Sorokin stopped all six first period shots in relief of Semyon Varlamov Tuesday. Varlamov was forced to leave Tuesday’s game with 6:50 left in the first period after a collision with Brayden Point as an NHL spotter wanted to make sure that Varlamov did not suffer a head injury. Varlamov was deemed okay and returned for the start of the second period, sending Sorokin back to the bench. Sorokin looked strong in his limited action and the Islanders should have no qualms if Sorokin is needed later in the series as the rookie has been fantastic this season.
Lightning vs. Islanders Game 3 NHL Prediction
The Lightning are 17-7 in their last 24 games versus the Islanders overall and have cashed in eight of their last 11 games in New York. They’re also 89-41 in their last 130 games overall, are 38-18 in their last 56 games as a road favorite and are 20-8 in their last 28 playoff games as a favorite. Tampa has fared well on the road too, where the Bolts are 5-1 in their last six games away from Amalie Arena.
