Stanley Cup Final Game 2 Props
(TheSpread) – The 2011 Stanley Cup Final continues on Saturday night with the Vancouver Canucks looking to take a 2-0 lead on the Boston Bruins. Here are the prop odds for Game 2.
Vancouver got the win in the series opener on Wednesday night as the Canucks scored with under 20 seconds to go in the third period to get a 1-0 victory. Boston took more shots and won more faceoffs, but still couldn’t find a way to win.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog Vancouver is the overwhelming favorite to win the series with odds of -400. The Canucks are also favored in Game 2, with odds of -188.
One of the big storylines in Game 2 was Vancouver’s Alex Burrows biting a member of the Boston Bruins. Burrows wasn’t suspended and he will play in Game 2. He has odds of +110 to score a point in Game 2 and odds of -140 to not score. Game 1 was the first time in five playoff games that Burrows hasn’t recorded a point. He has scored a point in 10 of the 19 playoff games Vancouver has had.
For Boston, David Krejci led the team with five shots in the Game 1 loss. For Saturday’s game, he has over/under odds of 3.5 points + shots on goal. Krejci has had at least four shots alone in his last three playoff games. Prior to that, he has failed to hit the 3.5 mark in his previous six contests.
