(TheSpread) – The 2011 Stanley Cup Final begins Wednesday night as the Vancouver Canucks will face off with the Boston Bruins. Here are the prop odds for Game 1.
This is just the second meeting between these two teams on the season. Boston won the first meeting at Vancouver, 3-1. The Canucks will have the home ice in Game 1.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog Vancouver is the favorite to win the series with odds of -215 while the Canucks are favored to win Game 1 as well with odds of -196.
In terms of the prop odds, Henrik Sedin, who has 19 assists in the playoffs, has over/under odds of 3 for total shots on goal + points for Game 1. Sedin has scored a point in his last six playoff games. Sedin has not been big on shots, averaging just under 2 per game in the series with San Jose. In the one meeting with Boston this season, Sedin had no shots and no points.
For Boston, forward Patrice Bergeron has over/under odds of 3 for shots on goal in Game 1. Bergeron has been a steady source of offense for Boston when he has been playing. In the playoffs, Bergeron has 45 shots through 16 games, which is an average of 2.8 per game. In the one meeting with Vancouver this season, Bergeron had three shots on goal.
