Cam Talbot turned aside all 23 of the shots he faced in Wednesday’s 3-0 win in Game 6 against the Vegas Golden Knights. Ryan Hartman, Kevin Fiala and Nick Bjugstad provided the offensive support, and those three goals didn’t come until the third period. The Wild, once down 3-1 in this series, have now forced a Game 7 at T-Mobile Arena on Friday night at 9 pm ET on NBCSN. It’s the second shutout of the best-of-seven series for Talbot. Minnesota moves to 5-3 all-time in Game 6 action. And just in case you were looking ahead, they have won all three Game 7s in their franchise history.

Max Pacioretty (undisclosed) is listed as a game-time decision for Friday’s Game 7 matchup against Minnesota, per coach Peter DeBoer. Pacioretty sat out the last six games of the regular season and he hasn’t played yet in the Stanley Cup Playoffs because of an undisclosed injury. He has been called a game-time decision frequently during that time, so it is unclear how to take this update. Pacioretty has been skating on his own, but whether or not he takes part in Friday’s morning skate could be a much better indicator of his availability.
Wild vs. Golden Knights NHL Prediction
The Wild are 6-2 in their last eight games versus the Golden Knights overall and are 4-1 in their last five games in Vegas. They’re also 9-4 in their last 13 games coming off a win and are 37-17 in their last 54 games when their opponent scores two goals or less in their previous game. On the other side, the Golden Knights are 1-4 in their last five playoff games as a favorite.
