2011 Stanley Cup Final Odds
According to oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com the Canucks are the favorites to win the series with odds of 1/2 while the Bruins have odds of 11/5.
The Canucks have never won the Stanley Cup, but they have three conference championships to their credit. Vancouver is the No. 1 seed in the West and top overall seed. It will have the home-ice advantage in the series. Vancouver beat No. 8 Chicago in seven games to start the playoffs and then beat No. 5 Nashville in six games before topping No. 2 San Jose in five games in the conference finals.
The Bruins are a 5-time Stanley Cup champion. Boston’s last title came in 1972. The Bruins were the No. 3 seed in the East and their road to the Final started by beating No. 6 Montreal in seven games. The Bruins then made quick work of No. 2 Philadelphia, beating the Flyers in a sweep. In the conference finals, the Bruins topped No. 5 Tampa Bay in seven games.
These two teams only played one time during the regular season with Boston winning 3-1. The Bruins had just 24 shots in the victory and lost 56 percent of the faceoffs, yet still found a way to win.
