Baltimore led 6-3 in the seventh inning Saturday night at Colorado before eventually losing 8-6 on a walk-off home run. Mychal Givens took the loss in relief as he allowed two earned runs on two hits with one strikeout and no walk over one-third of an inning. Keon Broxton helped pace the Orioles offense as he finished 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs. Hanser Alberto went 3-for-4 and scored a run. Renato Nunez was 1-for-1 with a pinch-hit solo home run. Dwight Smith Jr. ended the night 1-for-4 with a solo homer. Story hits walk-off in historic night
Trevor Story became the fastest shortstop to reach 100 home runs in MLB history Saturday night, then with his second home run he sent Colorado to an 8-6 walk-off victory at home over Baltimore. Story finished the night with the two home runs, a walk and four RBIs. Nolan Arenado ended the contest 2-for-4 with two solo home runs and three runs scored to also contribute heavily. Brendan Rodgers was 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Scott Oberg struck out two in one perfect inning of relief to pick up the win. Kyle Freeland will start tonight for the Rockies as he comes in with a 2-5 record, 6.02 ERA and 1.43 WHIP with 46 strikeouts over 52 1/3 innings.

Prediction:
I often fade teams after a thrilling win like last night and while it’s really difficult to back Baltimore, Cashner has pitched plenty at Coors Field in his career and shouldn’t be overwhelmed by the thin air. While his results in Denver haven’t been very good, he should get plenty of run support as Freeland has been having big-time struggles. This is a risky play, I admit, but anything can happen in baseball and I am backing Baltimore here with fingers crossed the bullpen doesn’t blow another lead.
