Oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog.com have made the Sharks a -120 favorite in Sunday’s Game 4, while the Canucks are a +100 underdog on the moneyline. The over-under is set at 5.5. Action starts at 3:05PM EST.
San Jose recorded its first win of the series Friday night, holding off a late Vancouver rally to record a 4-3 victory. Patrick Marleau scored two goals in the win for the Sharks, who jumped out to a 4-1 advantage and then saw the Canucks score two third-period goals to make things interesting. Sharks goalie Antti Niemi saved 27 of the 30 shots sent his way.
According to the latest NHL trends, San Jose is 8-7 against the spread versus Vancouver over the last three seasons. Nine of 15 games in this series have gone over the total during the last three seasons.
