Alex Nedeljkovic turned aside 32 shots in Wednesday’s 3-0 win over the Nashville Predators in Game 2. Nedeljkovic had a really gutsy performance as his team only held a 1-0 lead until the final minute of the game. His best save of the night came five minutes into the third period when he flashed his glove and robbed Luke Kunin as he was cutting through the offensive zone. Nedeljkovic is just the second Hurricanes rookie goaltender to post a shutout in the playoffs after Cam Ward did it twice in 2006. The 25-year-old owns a 1.00 goals-against average and .964 save percentage through two games.

Juuse Saros allowed two goals in Wednesday’s 3-0 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes in Game 2. Saros was beat by a one-timer on a power play by Sebastian Aho but otherwise had a performance that was deserving of a win. The 26-year-old made two amazing saves on Vincent Trochek in the opening period to keep his team’s deficit at 1-0 but unfortunately they just couldn’t beat opposing goaltender, Alex Nedeljkovic. With under 30 seconds left in the game and the game out of reach for Nashville, Warren Foegele banked a puck off of Ryan Ellis and into the back of the net. Saros owns a 3.05 goals-against average and .910 save percentage though two games.
