Evgeny Kuznetsov confirmed on Thursday that he tested positive for COVID-19 for a second time. Kuznetsov returned to the lineup on Wednesday night in Game 3 of the first round versus Boston after being out since May 1 following another stint on the COVID protocol list. “This time was much better. Like I said, I been there before and recover quick and join the team…It’s funny, they said it’s not a lot of people get twice,” said Kuznetsov. “It wasn’t easy to be in hockey shape right away after you sit in a house.” He had one shot and logged 26:41 of ice time on Wednesday in Washington’s double overtime loss.

Taylor Hall scored a goal during Wednesday’s 3-2 double OT win over the Washington Capitals. Hall tied the game, 1-1, in the second period. He’s now found the back of the net in back-to-back games and it both cases they were game-tying goals. He finished the night with a plus-2 rating, two shots on goal and one hit in 25:04 of ice time. The 29-year-old has two goals in the first three games of this series. Brad Marchand and Craig Smith (game-winner) also scored in this one for Boston. The Bruins have a 2-1 lead in this best-of-seven series. They’ll play Game 4 in Boston on Friday night.
