Bruins vs. Lightning Gm 4 Props
TAMPA, FL (TheSpread) – The Boston Bruins and the Tampa Bay Lightning resume the 2011 NHL Eastern Conference Finals on Saturday. Here is a look at the prop odds for Game 4.
Boston took a 2-1 lead in the series after winning Game 3, 2-0. The Bruins were outshot 31-25 by Tampa Bay in the game but Boston won 57% of the faceoffs.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog.com Boston is now the strong favorite to win the series with odds of -300 while Tampa Bay is favored to win Game 4 with a money line of -116.
One of the odds to consider for this game is which will be the highest scoring period in the contest. The first period has odds of +200 while the second is the favorite at +150 and the third has a money line of +160. Thus far in the series, eight goals have been scored in the first, six in the second, and six in the third. The first period has actually totaled the most goals in two of the three games thus far.
Another interesting wager is whether or not the game will go to overtime. The odds for overtime are +240 while the odds against it are -320. So far in the series there has yet to be an overtime contest. It is somewhat surprising since there were so many overtimes in the first two rounds. Neither conference finals series has had an overtime yet.
