NHL Betting Trends
St. Louis
The Blues are 7-1 in their last eight games as underdogs. St. Louis is 5-1 in its last six road games.
San Jose
The favorite is 4-1 in the last five meetings. The home team is 5-0 in the last five meetings.
Prediction:
St. Louis’ defense and goaltending has been at the forefront of its stellar play over the last four months and it should help slow down a potent Sharks offense. San Jose is very talented, but is sometimes slow to get out of the gates and I can certainly see the Blues stealing a road game before the Sharks find their footing. The rookie Binnington has looked completely comfortable in the playoffs and I expect that to continue in Game 1 here. Take a shot on the underdogs tonight.
