Rangers vs. Capitals Game 6 Odds
WASHINGTON, DC (TheSpread) – The Washington Capitals return home looking to punch their ticket to the Eastern Conference Finals when they host the New York Rangers in Game 6 of their series at 7PM ET today.
Washington is 52-29-13 on the season and 28-14-5 at home while New York is 59-26-7 overall and 30-13-2 on the road. New York won Game 5 of the series, 2-1 in OT to force today’s Game 6. The home team has won the last four games in this series and the two have yet to combine for more than five goals in any of the five games in the series.
According to online sports book GT Bets, Washington is the slight favorite at home in this contest, as the Capitals are getting odds of -115 to win, while the Rangers are getting a money line of +105 to win. The over/under total for the game has been set at 4.5 goals.
The Rangers grinded out the 2-1 victory in Game 5 thanks to a late rally. Trailing 1-0, Chris Kreider scored with 1:41 to play in regulation to force overtime and then Ryan McDonagh found the net 9 minutes into OT to give New York the win. Henrik Lundqvist had 28 saves in the win for New York while Braden Holtby made 41 saves in the loss. Curtis Glencross had the lone goal for the Capitals.
