NHL West Odds To Win
(TheSpread) – The Western Conference is down to its final two teams. Here is a look at the odds to win the conference championship.
According to oddsmakers, the Los Angeles Kings are the favorite to win their series with the Phoenix Coyotes. Oddsmakers have given the Kings a money line of -170 to win, while the Coyotes have been given odds of +150 to win the series.
The Kings are the No. 8 seed in the conference, yet they defeated top-seeded Vancouver and second-seeded St. Louis in the first two rounds. The Kings not only won, but ran right through them, finishing both series in just a combined nine games. The Kings won the Western Conference one time in franchise history, which was 1993.
The Coyotes are the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference. Phoenix defeated No. 6 Chicago in six games in the opening room and then finished off No. 5 Nashville in five games. The Coyotes have never won the conference title in their franchise history.
During the season, the Coyotes won the Pacific Division, finishing just ahead of the Kings in the race. In six games played between these two during the season, both teams won three games each, with the Coyotes winning the last two meetings.
