Lightning vs. Canadiens Game 2 Odds
MONTREAL, Quebec (TheSpread) – The Tampa Bay Lightning look to take a surprising 2-0 series lead on the Montreal Canadiens when the two meet today at 6PM ET in Game 2 of their series.
Montreal is 54-25-10 on the season and 28-11-6 at home while Tampa Bay is 55-27-8 overall and 21-17-7 on the road. The Lightning took the first game of the series on the road, with a 2-1 OT victory. The Lightning have now won all six meetings with Montreal in the season, including four victories on the Canadiens’ home ice. These two have hit the over in four of their six season meetings.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Montreal is the favorite at home today, as the Canadiens are getting odds of -125 to win, while the Lightning are getting a money line of +115 to prevail.
Friday’s Game 1 went to double overtime before Nikita Kucherov got the game-winner just two minutes into the second extra session. Tampa goalie Ben Bishop finished with 43 saves to get the win while Carey Price made 33 saves for Montreal. Tyler Johnson added the other goal for the Lightning, his seventh of the playoffs. Max Pacioretty scored Montreal’s lone goal of the game.
