The Capitals had a huge emotional victory on Thursday, scoring with just two seconds left in regulation to get the 2-1 win. Joel Ward snuck the puck into the net to push his team to a 1-0 series lead. The game was very even, as the shots were 32-29. Alex Ovechkin had the other goal for Washington and also an assist while Jesper Fast had the lone goal for the Rangers.
