(TheSpread) – The playoff field is set for the NHL Playoffs. Here is a look at the odds for each of the eight series set to take place.
The featured series in the Eastern Conference has the third-seeded Washington Capitals taking on the sixth-seeded New York Rangers. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, this series is considered even, as each team has been given odds of -115 to win. Washington won the Southeast Division by going 27-18-3 on the season. The Capitals were 15-8-1 at home and 12-10-2 on the road. New York was second in the Atlantic Division, going 26-18-4 on the season. The Rangers were 16-6-2 at home and 10-12-2 on the road. These teams met three times during the season with the Rangers getting two of the wins and the road teams also won two of the three games.
The featured series in the Western Conference has the fourth-seeded St. Louis Blues facing the fifth-seeded Los Angeles Kings. According to oddsmakers, the Kings are the slight favorite in the series, as they have odds of -120 to win, while the Blues have been given a money line of -110 to win. St. Louis went 29-17-2 on the season, 15-8-1 at home and 14-9-1 on the road. Los Angeles is 27-16-5 overall, 19-4-1 at home and 8-12-4 on the road. These two teams met three times this season and the Kings won all three meetings. Los Angeles has won eight straight over St. Louis.
