NHL East Series Prices
(TheSpread) – The 2012 Eastern Conference Playoffs have reached their semifinal round. Here is a look at the series prices for both matchups.
The first series, which gets started on Saturday, has No. 1 New York taking on No. 7 Washington. Oddsmakers have the Rangers as the favorite in this series, giving them odds of -175 to win, while the Capitals have a money line of +155 to win. New York is now 55-25-9 overall after its 7-game series win over Ottawa, while Washington is 46-33-10 overall after its 7-game series win over Boston. This season, the two teams split the season series, 2-2. Washington has won four of its last six against New York.
The other series in the East has No. 5 Philadelphia taking on No. 6 New Jersey. According to oddsmakers, the Flyers are the favorite in this series, as they have a money line of -180 to win, while the Devils have odds of +160 to prevail. Philadelphia is 47-26-9 overall after beating Pittsburgh in 6 games while New Jersey is 48-28-6 overall following its 7-game series win over Florida. The Devils won three of the five meetings with the Flyers during the regular season.
