NHL Western Conference Odds
(TheSpread) – The 2011 Western Conference Playoffs is down to its final four teams and the odds have been updated for which team will win the conference crown.
The Vancouver Canucks are still the favorite to win the Western Conference according to oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com. The Canucks have 13/10 odds to win it all while other odds are Detroit (9/4), San Jose (9/4), and Nashville (6/1).
The No. 1 seed, Vancouver, survived a scare from Chicago in the first round. The Canucks won the series 4-3 in a 2-1 overtime victory in Game 7. Vancouver held a 3-0 lead in the series but lost the next three games to be put on the brink of defeat. Vancouver was outscored 16-22 in the series. The Canucks will now take on Nashville in the second round.
Nashville, the No. 5 seed, beat Anaheim in the first round 4-2. The Predators won the final two games of the series and they scored at least three goals in every game, totaling 22 goals for the six games.
San Jose, the No. 2 seed, got past Los Angeles in six games, winning the series 4-2. The Sharks won three overtime games in the series and scored a total of 20 goals in the six games. San Jose will take on Detroit in the second round.
The Red Wings are the No. 3 seed in the West and they are coming off a sweep of Phoenix in the first round. The Red Wings outscored the Coyotes 18-9 in the series.
