Flames vs. Canucks Gm 2 Odds
VANCOUVER, BC (TheSpread) – The Vancouver Canucks are looking to avoid losing two straight home games to open their series with the Calgary Flames when the two meet tonight at 10PM ET.
Vancouver is now 48-30-5 on the season and 24-16-2 at home while Calgary is 46-30-7 on the season and 23-17-2 on the road. Including the 2-1 win for the Flames in Game 1 of the series on Wednesday, Calgary has now won three straight meetings with the Canucks, including two games in Vancouver. These two have now pushed or hit the under in four straight meetings.
According to oddsmakers at the online sports book Bovada.lv, the Canucks are favored in Game 2, as they are getting odds of -150 to win, while the Flames are getting a money line of +130 to win. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 5 goals.
In Game 1, the Flames fell behind 1-0 after two, but netted goals from David Jones and Kris Russell in the third period to sneak past Vancouver. Russell scored the game-winner with just 30 seconds left in regulation. Both goalies played well, as Jonas Hiller had 29 saves for the Flames while Eddie Lack made 28 saves for the Canucks. Both goalies faced a total of 30 shots.
