NHL Western Conference Odds
(TheSpread) – The NHL Western Conference playoffs have a wide open field, with plenty of potential contenders. Here is a look at the odds to win the West.
This year’s Western Conference playoffs are broken down into two subsections with each conference having two four-team brackets. There will be no re-seeding this year, as each section has seeds 1-4 and will play to completion. Each section champion will then meet in the conference finals.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the St. Louis Blues are favored to win the West, as they have 5/2 odds. Other short odds to win are the Chicago Blackhawks (15/4) and the San Jose Sharks (9/2).
St. Louis is the No. 2 seed in its region after going 52-37-7 on the season. The Blues will face the Chicago Blackhawks in the opening round.
Chicago is the No. 3 seed in its region and the defending Cup champs. Chicago went 46-21-7 on the season.
San Jose is the No. 2 seed in its region and will face the third-seeded Kings in the opening round. San Jose went 51-22-9 on the season.
