Montreal is the top seed in the Atlantic Region, as it went 50-22-10 on the season with a total of 110 points. The Senators are the fourth seed in the region, as they went 43-26-13 on the year and had a total of 99 points. Montreal will have the home-ice advantage in this series.

According to the latest oddsmakers, the Canadiens are the favorite in this series, as they are getting odds of -170 to win, while the Senators are getting a money line of +140 to prevail in this best-of-7. Game 1 of the series will be held on Wednesday at 7PM ET.

These two met four times during the regular season, and the Senators actually won three of the four meetings. The Senators scored a total of 14 goals in the four games, while the Canadiens were held to just 9 goals. Ottawa has won six of its last 10 meetings with Montreal, dating back to 2013, and the two have pushed or hit the over in seven of their last eight meetings.
