2012 Conn Smythe Trophy Odds
(The Spread) – Oddsmakers have released prop odds for the 2012 Conn Smythe Trophy, which is given to the player viewed as the most valuable to his team during the NHL Stanley Cup playoffs.
Pittsburgh Penguins’ stars Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby are both 11/1 favorites, respectively, to win the 2012 Conn Smythe Trophy. The players with the next best odds are Henrik Lundqvist (Rangers), Henrik Sedin (Canucks) and Daniel Sedin (Canucks), whom are all 16/1 to win, respectively.
Canucks’ goaltender Roberto Luongo is 20/1 to win this year’s Conn Smythe Trophy, while Nashville’s Pekka Rinne, New York’s Marian Gaborik, and St. Louis’ Brian Elliott are all 25/1, respectively. Five players are 30/1 to win, respectively, which includes Detroit’s Pavel Datsyuk, New York’s Brad Richards, Philadelphia’s Claude Giroux, Pittsburgh’s Marc-Andre Fleury, and St. Louis’ Jaroslav Halak.
Continuing with the odds, Detroit’s Jimmy Howard, Pittsburgh’s James Neal, and St. Louis’ David Perron are all 35/1, respectively, while Chicago’s Jonathan Toews, Detroit’s Henrik Zetterberg, Nashville’s Alexander Radulov, Philadelphia’s Ilya Bryzglov, St. Louis’ David Backes, and Vancouver’s Ryan Kesler are all 40/1, respectively.
Boston’s Tim Thomas won the Conn Smythe Trophy in 2011 while Chicago’s Jonathan Toews won the award in 2010. Pittsburgh’s Evgeni Malkin won in 2009, while Detroit’s Henrik Zetterberg won in 2008 and Anaheim’s Scott Niedermayer won in 2007.
