Red Wings vs. Bruins Prediction
The Red Wings have rediscovered their footing in the nick of time but they've also had issues winning in Boston. They'll visit the Bruins tonight at 7:00PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Bruins are -143 money line favorites versus the Red Wings, who have odds of +123 to pull off the upset tonight. As for the total, the number currently sits at 5 goals.
Tuukka Rask will start tonight for Boston after turning away 27 of 28 shots in a 2-1 shootout loss to the Hurricanes on Tuesday. He allowed the only goal of the shootout, which proved to be the difference as Cam Ward out-dueled the 29-year-old. Rask is now 30-23-7 on the season.
The Red Wings will counter with Jimmy Howard, who came up huge Wednesday night against the Flyers. He turned aside all 30 shots he faced in a 3-0 shutout and also registered the only assist of the game in the process. Howard is now 14-12-5 on the season and owns a 2.72 goals-against average to go along with a .909 save percentage.
Despite the Red Wings' recent success, they're just 1-6 in their last seven games versus the Bruins and 0-5 in their last five trips to Boston. They've also struggled playing on no rest, losing nine of 10 when playing on back-to-back nights.
