Bruins vs. Blackhawks Prediction
Can the Boston Bruins pull off the upset today at the United Center when they take on the Chicago Blackhawks at 12:30PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Blackhawks are -145 money line favorites versus the Bruins, who have odds of +125 to pull off the road upset. The total, meanwhile, is sitting at 5.5 goals for today's game.
Tuukka Rask will start in net for the Bruins after he picked up the win in a 6-5 victory on Friday night in St. Louis. He now has 30 wins for the third straight season and Friday night marked his 100th victory over that span. Rask wasn't great in St. Louis, but his offense finally stepped up against a red-hot Brian Elliott and the Bruins were able to hold on to the win.
Chicago will counter with Scott Darling, who is coming off a 28-save effort in the Blackhawks' 5-4 overtime win over the Jets on Friday. Darling was bailed out by his offense after he made just 28 of 32 saves in the victory. He's allowed 14 goals in his last five games as the Hawks couldn't get Corey Crawford back soon enough.
The Bruins have won five of their last six games versus the Central and are 15-5 in their last 20 games when playing on one day of rest. The Hawks, meanwhile, are just 1-4 in their last five games following a win and are 0-4 in their last four games versus an opponent with a winning record.
