Toronto will counter with Jonathan Bernier, who stopped 32 of 34 shots in a 5-2 win over the Panthers on Tuesday. He hasn’t allowed more than two goals in a game since March 5 and is 4-2-0 during that stretch. With their influx of youth and care-free attitude with noting to play for, the Maple Leafs have played well of late, especially at home where they’re 5-2 in their last seven games.
The Red Wings have lost four of their last five games coming off a win and are just 4-11 in their last 15 road games. They’re also an awful 1-10 in their last 11 games playing on back-to-back nights.
