Flames vs. Kings Prediction
One night after allowing eight goals to the Penguins, the Flames will try not to get blown out tonight in L.A. when they visit the Kings at 10:30PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Kings are -275 money line favorites versus the Flames, who have +220 odds to pull off the big upset. Los Angeles is also -1.5 (+110) on the puckline while Calgary is +1.5 (-130).
Jonathan Quick will start tonight after he allowed four goals in a 5-2 loss to the Sharks on Monday night. He made 26 saves in the loss as his record dropped to 38-21-4 on the season.
He has just one win in his past five starts, so he’s due to have one of those Jonathan Quick-type games where he stands on his head. What better opportunity than tonight against a Flames team that is tired and just playing out the final string of games in 2016?
The Kings have won five of their last six home games and are 7-3 in their last 10 games versus opponents with a losing record. On the other side, the Flames have dropped six of their last seven games playing on no rest and are 1-5 in their last six games after allowing five goals or more in their previous game.
