Golden Knights fall at Blues
Las Vegas suffered a 3-1 loss Monday night at St. Louis to drop to 42-28-6 on the season. The Golden Knights evened the score at 1-1 with 4:48 remaining in the second period on a power play goal courtesy of William Karlsson assisted by Colin Miller and Jonathan Marchessault. The Blues proceeded to score the go-ahead goal later in the second, while also adding an insurance goal in the third period. Malcolm Subban surrendered three goals on 22 shots in the losing effort.
Avs drop contest in OT
Colorado lost 2-1 in overtime Sunday night at Chicago to fall to 34-29-13 on the season. The Avalanche grabbed a 1-0 lead with 4:34 remaining in the first period on a power play goal scored by Alexander Kerfoot off assists from Tyson Barrie and Nathan MacKinnon. NHL Betting Trends
The Golden Knights are 9-2 in their last 11 games versus the Western Conference. Las Vegas is 9-2 in its last 11 games as a road favorite.
The Avalanche are 4-1 in their last five games overall. Colorado is 19-39 in its last 58 games as an underdog.
While the Avs were playing good hockey prior to their loss at the Blackhawks and at least played well on the defensive end in Chicago, they are only on the fringe of the playoff race in the Western Conference. Needless to say, this is another important game for Colorado. Las Vegas is in a better spot right now and has less rest coming into this contest. The Avs have the talent up front and are properly motivated. I'll take the home teams at plus money here.
