The lone game taking place today has the Buffalo Sabres hosting the Carolina Hurricanes at 7PM ET. Both teams come into this contest in need of a win, as each sits outside the top four in its division in the Eastern Conference. Buffalo lost its last four entering the Olympic break while Carolina comes in 6-4 in its last 10.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Hurricanes are the favorite on the road, as they have a money line of -130 for tonight’s game, while the Sabres have been given odds of +110 to prevail. The over/under total for Tuesday night’s game has been set at five goals.
Carolina is 26-22-9 overall and 11-10-4 on the road while Buffalo is 15-34-8 overall and 9-17-5 at home. Carolina has owned Buffalo in recent history, winning four straight meetings. The home team has won four of the last six in this series. These two have hit the over in three of their last four meetings.
