Friday NHL Opening Odds

Two of the NHL’s best clash as the Bruins (31-16-7) host the Red Wings (32-16-6) Friday night at 7:00PM EST. Oddsmakers and online sports book Sportsbook.com have made Boston -135 favorites, while the over-under is set at 5.5. According to the latest trends, Boston is 30-14 after a divisional games over the last two seasons. Detroit is 10-3 in road games after scoring one goal or less in the previous game over the past two seasons.
The Red Wings have lost three out of their last four games. Henrik Zetterberg leads Detroit with 16 goals and 41 assists. Boston’s Patrice Bergeron paces his squad with 19 goals and 26 assists. The Bruins won an 8-6 shootout Wednesday at home against Montreal.
In other NHL action Friday, the Dallas Stars entertain the Chicago Blackhawks at 8:30PM EST. Chicago is a -115 favorite and the over-under is 5.5. Calgary is home against Anaheim at 9:00PM EST. The Flames are -140 favorites and the over-under is set at 5.5.
