(TheSpread) – The 2011-12 NHL Season has reached its All-Star break. Here is an updated look at who oddsmakers favor to win the Stanley Cup.
According to oddsmakers, the Detroit Red Wings are the favorite to win the Stanley Cup in 2012, as they have 3/1 odds to win. Other short odds to win are Boston (7/2), Philadelphia (7/2), and New York (9/2).
The Red Wings come into the All-Star break with the top record in the league. They lead the Western Conference with 67 points with a 33-16-1 record. The Wings are an impressive 20-2-1 at home on the year and they have 160 goals scored with just 117 allowed.
Boston is second in the East with 64 points, but the Bruins lead the Northeast Division. Boston is 31-14-2 on the year with a 15-7 road record. Boston scored 171 goals while allowing just 102.
Philadelphia is fourth in the East with 63 points. They sit second in the Atlantic Division behind the Rangers with 63 points. Philadelphia is 29-14-5 on the year and 18-7-2 on the road. The Flyers have scored 162 goals but have allowed 142.
The Rangers lead the Eastern Conference with 66 points. They are 31-12-4 on the year and 15-5-2 at home. The Rangers have scored 132 goals but are allowing a league-low 96 goals on the season.
