NHL All-Star Game Odds
OTTAWA (TheSpread) – The rosters are set for the 2012 NHL All-Star Game on Sunday. Here is a look at which roster is favored to take the exhibition contest.
Sunday’s All-Star game takes place from Scotiabank Place and features Team Alfredsson taking on Team Chara. This marks the second time that the NHL has held a fantasy draft to determine their two All-Star teams. Oddsmakers have made Team Alfredsson the favorite in this game, giving them a money line of -125, while Team Chara has odds of +105 to win. The over/under for goals scored has been set at 18. The All-Star game will take place on Sunday at 4PM ET.
Team Alfredsson consists of captain Daniel Alfredsson, assistant captain Henrik Lundqvist, Erik Karlsson, Jason Spezza, Jonathan Quick, Claude Giroux, Kris Letang, Steven Stamkos, Brian Elliott, Shea Weber, Daniel Sedin, Dan Girardi, Keith Yandle, Milan Michalek, Henrik Sedin, James Neal, Alexander Edler, John Tavares, Scot Hartnell, Jason Pominville, and Logan Couture. Coaches are John Tortorella and Todd McLellan.
Team Chara is captained by Zdeno Chara and assisted by Joffrey Lupul. The team also consists of Pavel Datsyuk, Tim Thomas, Evgeni Malkin, Marian Hossa, Kimmo Timonen, Corey Perry, Carey Price, Phil Kessel, Ryan Suter, Jimmy Howard, Brian Campbell, Patrick Kane, Dion Phaneuf, Jarome Iginla, Dennis Wideman, Marian Gaborik, Jordan Eberle, Tyler Seguin, and Jamie Benn. The team will be coached by Claude Julien.
It is tough to know what to expect from this game in regards to the winning team because the rosters have no history to really go off of. However, the over/under total is something you can really track. Last year’s game featured 21 goals and there have been at least 18 goals in three of the last four All-Star games.
