The lone game on Wednesday has the Montreal Canadiens hosting the Detroit Red Wings at 7:30PM ET (View Matchup). This is a meeting of two of the most historic franchises in the NHL. Oddsmakers see the Red Wings as the favorite to win the contest, giving them a money line of -154 while the Canadiens have odds of +142. The over/under for goals scored has been set at 5.5.
Detroit is 33-15-1 on the season but just 13-13-0 away from home. Montreal is now 18-21-9 on the season but only 8-9-7 at home. The Red Wings have won four of the last five meetings with the Canadiens, and have been the favorite in each of those five meetings. Only four of the five games have went under a goal total of 5.5.
