Nashville Predators Fantasy Spin
Pekka Rinne scored a goal in Thursday’s 5-2 win over the Chicago Blackhawks. How exciting! This is the first time a goalie has scored in a game since Mike Smith did it back in 2013. Rinne got hold of a loose puck near his net and he fired it down the ice and into Chicago’s empty net with just over 20 seconds remaining in the game. He now becomes the 12th different goalie in league history to score. Rinne also turned aside 29 of 31 shots in the victory. He owns a 15-9-3 record with a 3.02 goals-against-average and a .895 save percentage this season. You can watch his goal by clicking the link at the bottom of this post.
Edmonton Oilers Fantasy Spin
Mike Smith will get the nod on Tuesday. Smith stopped 35 of 37 shots in a 4-2 win against Montreal. He’s 10-9-3 with a 3.01 GAA and .900 save percentage in 24 contests this season.
