2013 Stanley Cup Odds To Win
(TheSpread) – The lockout had ended and there will be a hockey season. Here is a look at the odds to win the 2013 Stanley Cup.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the two favorites to win the Stanley Cup in this shorted season are the Pittsburgh Penguins and the New York Rangers, who each have odds of +800. The defending champs, the L.A. Kings, have odds of +900 to win the Cup again.
The Rangers were the top team in the Eastern Conference last season, racking up 109 points to earn the No. 1 seed in the East. The Rangers reached the Eastern Conference Finals before losing in 6 games to the New Jersey Devils.
The Penguins finished fourth in the East, but was just one point shy of the Rangers. Their 108 points was the second-most in the Eastern Conference. Despite that, the Penguins were upset in the first round of the playoffs by the Philadelphia Flyers in 6 games.
The Kings were actually the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference, but managed to dominate their way through the playoffs. Los Angeles went 16-4 throughout the entire playoffs to win the Stanley Cup over the New Jersey Devils in the end.
