Blues fall flat at Avs

St. Louis lost by a score of 7-3 at Colorado Thursday night to drop to 26-10-6 on the road. The Blues trailed 3-0 in the second period before they got on the board via a Robert Thomas goal at the 6:18 mark off assists by Alex Pietrangelo and Tyler Bozak. Pietrangelo cut it to 3-2 on the power play less than three minutes later off a Ryan O'Reilly assist. The Golden Knights scored the next four goals before St. Louis finally got one back with 3:46 to go on a Thomas goal off a Jaden Schwartz assist. Jordan Binnington surrendered seven goals on 41 shots in the defeat. Jake Allen stopped the only shot sent his way.

Golden Knights edge Flyers

Philadelphia earned a 5-4 home win Thursday night over Philadelphia to move to 23-15-6 on the season. Shea Theodore tied it up for the Golden Knights with 11:18 to go in the first period off a Paul Stastny assist. Max Pacioretty put the hosts ahead 2-1 on the power play midway through the first with assists from Stastny and Theodore. Jon Merrill made it 3-1 shortly thereafter off a Nicolas Roy assist. After the Flyers trimmed it to a one-goal game, Las Vegas made it 4-2 at the 2:57 mark on a Pacioretty goal off a Mark Stone assist. Cody Glass scored midway through the second period to make it 5-2, while the Golden Knights held off a Philly rally attempt the rest of the way. Marc-Andre Fleury earned the win as he gave up four goals on 38 shots.

NHL Betting Trends

St. Louis

The Blues are 8-2 in their last 10 games overall. St. Louis is 20-7 in its last 27 games as an underdog.

Las Vegas

The Golden Knights are 1-4 in their last five games Saturday games. Las Vegas is 9-4 in its last 13 games versus the Western Conference.

Prediction:

St. Louis has stumbled its last two games, but overall is having a fantastic season and I'd expect it to get back on track sooner than later. I'm taking advantage of the plus money tonight as the Blues should tighten up in the back end after a couple rough outings while also taking advantage of a Las Vegas squad that has had its share of inconsistencies this season.
