Golden Knights shut out Kings
Las Vegas won for the fourth straight time Tuesday night with a 2-0 home victory over Los Angeles. The Golden Knights (24-15-4) have not allowed more than one goal in any of the four wins. After the game was scoreless into the third period, Brandon Pirri broke the deadlock 3:43 into the final stanza. The power play goal was assisted by Cody Eakin and Ryan Reaves. Alex Tuch scored his 14th goal of the season on the empty net with 33 seconds left as Deryk Engalland and Pirri assisted. Marc-Andre Fleury stopped all 17 shots sent his way to post the shutout.

Anaheim continued its tailspin Monday night at home with a 2-1 overtime loss to Tampa Bay. After falling behind in the first period, the Ducks (19-15-7) evened it up later in the first on a goal by Nick Ritchie. Ondrej Kase and Josh Mahura assisted on the score. Tampa Bay eventually registered the game-winner 35 seconds into overtime. Anaheim had 36 shots on goal in the losing effort, led by Ryan Kesler with five shots. John Gibson stopped 33 of 35 shots in the defeat.
NHL Betting Trends
Las Vegas
The Golden Knights are 5-1 in the last six meetings. Las Vegas is 5-0 in its last five games played on two days of rest.
Anaheim
The under is 4-0 in the last four meetings. The Ducks are 3-7 in their last 10 games versus the Pacific Division.
Prediction:
These two teams are trending in opposite directions. Las Vegas is finally looking like the team that ran through the competition in its expansion season, while Anaheim is going through the motions right now in a partial rebuild. I can’t endorse the hosts here. Bet on the Golden Knights to win again.
