COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) Pittsburgh Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams is defending his 75-cent tip to a server at a Maryland pizzeria.
WUSA-TV reports (http://on.wusa9.com/2cI9uzD ) that Williams ate dinner Sunday night at Ledo Restaurant in College Park and left the small tip on his $128.25 bill.
His server took to Facebook to complain and restaurant workers blasted Williams on social media. But Williams, who was in town ahead of Monday night’s game against the Washington Redskins, defended his actions on Twitter, saying they got lousy service. He says he waited for an hour and a half for his food and his order was wrong.
Williams says he tried to leave exact change, but couldn’t.
