DETROIT (AP) -Detroit Lions running back Kevin Jones injured his right knee late in the first half Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs, and did not return.
Jones caught a pass late and after being tackled, he immediately grabbed his right knee.
``It doesn't look good,'' Lions coach Rod Marinelli said after Detroit's 25-20 win. ``It's pretty serious.''
After the training staff evaluated him, he was able to slowly walk off the field and to the locker room with his teammates at halftime.
Jones has been sidelined by injuries in each of his four seasons since Detroit drafted him in the first round of the 2004 draft.
The former Virginia Tech star missed a game as a rookie because of an ankle injury, and played 13 or fewer games in each of the next three years with shoulder, thigh, elbow, ankle and foot ailments.
Jones was limited to 12 games last year with a foot injury, which led to him being on the physically unable to perform list during training camp and missing the first two games of this season.
He has 3,000-plus yards rushing, 1,000-plus yards receiving and 27 touchdowns in his career.
