EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -The New York Giants practice bubble collapsed Sunday morning after strong wind blew down one set of revolving doors and let the air out.
The bubble should be back in operation no later than Thursday, said Jim Minish, the executive vice president of facilities for the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority, which operates the stadium and Meadowlands sports complex.
“It defends on how long it takes the company making the repairs to fix the door area,” Minish said, adding that work will start Monday. “Once they do that, we’ll begin the inflation, which takes about three hours.”
Minish said the bubble collapsed about 6 a.m. No one was inside and no one was hurt.
It was the third time in four years that the bubble has collapsed due to severe weather.
